Manchester turns cricket Red for Ruth

This year’s Ruth Strauss Foundation Test Match between England and West Indies turned ‘Red for Ruth’  on 25 July to support the families facing one of life’s toughest tests. The foundation is currently raising funds to allow them to focus on offering pre-bereavement support.

How DONATE™ was used:

Despite being played behind closed doors Sky’s broadcast of the England v West Indies test match at Old Trafford sent text donations out of the ground. Promotion of the the £20 text channel was primarily through match day announcements, stadia on screen media and celebrity interviews. A record breaking £259,355 was raised with Gift Aid adding a further £30,168 to bring the total raised to just under £300,000. A match-winning result.
