FAQs
Can any organisation use DONATE's web giving service? 
DONATE™’s web giving service is available to any charitable organisation that is registered with DONATE™. If you are not yet registered with DONATE™ you can do so for free here.
How do we set up web giving?
Once an organisation is registered with DONATE™, you will be able to create campaigns from your portal. We provide unique weblinks, QR codes, text codes and much more for each of your created campaigns.
How long does it take to set-up a web giving?
Once your organisation has been enabled with DONATE™, web giving will be available within 1-2 hours.
How can we promote our donation page to our supporters?
Each campaign created from your DONATE™ portal will have a unique web link for supporters to follow:
‘www.easydoante.org/XXX’. You can promote these through email, social media and your offline collateral.
Can I create a unique campaign code?
Yes. For each campaign you may select an available, memorable keyword (up to 10 characters) for entry i.e. BUTTERCUP.
Please note that keywords are leased from us (to ensure they can be recycled) and generic keywords may have a leasing charge applied.
Can we track and manage our campaigns?
Yes, once signed up you have access to your self-serve portal. This gives you 24/7 access to donation reports and GDPR compliant donor opted-in data. The portal also enable you to add/enable/disable campaigns, download signage templates, amend thank-you emails and texts and much much more. Is there a minimum and maximum amount supporters can donate?
The minimum amount donors can give is £1, and there is no maximum amount.
Your web giving page will have pre-set amounts of £5, £10, £15, £25, £50 along with an ‘other’ field. These pre-set amounts can be changed by contacting us. Please identify the five individual amounts required and the single default donation amount.
Is Gift Aid available on web donations?
Yes. When donors are completing their web donation, they can ‘opt-in’ to add Gift Aid to their donation.
Can supporters set up recurring donations?
Yes. When making a web donation supporters can opt-in to set up monthly recurring donations.
Can supporters share their details with our charity?
Yes, our services are fully GDPR compliant. Following a donation, your supporters can opt-in to share their details with your charitable organisation.
How can we thank our supporters?
Once your supporter has donated to your campaign, they will receive an automatic message from DONATE™ thanking them for their donation to your campaign. If the donor has opted-in you will have access to their details from our portal to make direct contact.
What are DONATE's charges for running web giving?
DONATE™ does not charge for running the web giving service but charges our normal transaction fees per donation (4.5% for charities, 5% for non-charities). More information about our fees is available here.
What management reporting tools are available?
All organisational users of DONATE™ have access to our self-serve, management portal where administrators can access donation reports, download web, text, QR donation codes, user data and much much more.
